Camelot of DeKalb is a two-building campus with separate facilities for our ASD Multi-Needs population and our SED students. Our Autism Center is equipped with sensory integration materials and fully certified staff utilize an eclectic approach to individual growth including, ABA, Floor Time, TEACCH, Picture Exchange, Discrete Trial, Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) and Assisted Technology where applicable. Our high-school vocational program includes life-skills, on-site career development, community supported sheltered workshop experience and in-school jobs. Our Autism Program and Parent Support Coordinator offer a variety of resources, parent trainings and alternative programming options throughout the year.
A low student-to-teacher/counselor ratio is essential to a child’s progress. Our experienced and highly skilled staff works closely with each child to develop his/her full potential for academic achievement and mastery of critical life skills.
Our newly designed SED Center focuses on grade and credit completion, transitional planning, state goals and successful re-integration into home school districts. Students earn status and privileges, including part-time attendance at their home schools and/or work release when academics and behaviors are successfully managed.
