Camelot of Kankakee

Camelot of Kankakee provides academic instruction and therapy for children and adolescents ages 3 through 21, who have been unable to succeed in the public school system due to the severity of their disabilities. Our program is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education to serve students with the following disabilities:

* Autism Spectrum Disorders
* Learning Disabilities
* Cognitively Delayed
* Social/Emotional Disorders
* Other Health Impairments
* Traumatic Brain Injury

Along with our educational component, students are eligible to receive services from our occupational therapist, speech therapist, and social worker as indicated in their IEPs. Therapies and treatments are tailored to meet the child’s individual needs and may include:

* Programming from TEACCH
* ABA/Discrete Trial
* Relationship Development Intervention (RDI)
* Developmental, Individual Differences, Relation-based Therapy (floor time)
* Picture communication systems (PECS)
* Adaptive P.E.
* Sensory breaks/diets
* Speech/language therapy
* Music, art, and pet therapy
* Occupational therapy
