Our Edge

Camelot’s philosophy is to operate small facilities which allow our staff, at all levels, to build a relationship with each resident and the families, school districts, and state agencies we serve. This partnership-oriented approach provides a high degree of accountability and accessibility, tracks and reports results, incorporates feedback, and shares success every step of the way.

Camelot serves a diverse cross-section of exceptional children, from children with autism to young people with mental health and behavioral problems to older teens in danger of dropping out of school. We accept children regardless of their personal challenges and prior difficulties because we have an unshakable belief in the promise of every child. Our positive, structured environments foster learning by making children feel safe. Our schools and treatment centers provide settings where positive change, personal responsibility and achievement are recognized and rewarded.

Our strongly experienced and highly skilled staff meets children where they are and moves them toward their full potential with a mastery of critical life skills. We offer eclectic treatment interventions and program components, such as TEACCH, ABA, DIR, PECS for our Autism program, which focus on the individual needs of the child. Our staff has a passion and a commitment for achieving success in every child served and putting the kids’ needs first.

We are active members of the community in which are facilities are located and believe in the promise of every child.
