Camelot has emerged as a national leader in educating students who are unable to succeed in mainstream schools. We provide a turn-key solution for school districts and charter organizations that need an alternative setting for students with behavioral, emotional and other problems. But we offer far more than a change of scenery for these students; we offer them an excellent chance of success.
Camelot operates three distinct kinds of alternative schools and we are now offering a fourth.
- Transitional Schools - For students who have been expelled from public and charter schools for behavioral violations. Students remain at these schools until it is determined that they are behaviorally and academically prepared to return to their sending school. In some cases, these remain and graduate from the transitional school.
- Accelerated Schools - For high school students who have fallen two or more grade levels behind are on the verge of dropping out - or have dropped out. These over-age and under-credited students are able to complete four years of high school credit in two and a half years.
- Therapeutic Day Schools - These are extraordinary schools for extraordinary students. Students served range from those with Autism Spectrum disorders, to learning disabilities, to developmental delays to various health impairments. Our guiding belief is that every child can learn, grow and master life skills.
- Turnaround Schools - Camelot plans to use the expertise we have developed in helping at-risk students succeed at our transitional and accelerated schools to manage failing public schools.
